STYLIST CODE OF CONDUCT
Hair Cuts At The Palms The Palms at Town & Country
1. PROFESSIONALISM & ATTENDANCE
Punctuality: Stylists must be at their stations and ready to work at least 15 minutes before their first scheduled appointment.
Appearance: Stylists are expected to maintain a professional, clean, and fashionable appearance that reflects the high standards of Hair Cuts At The Palms.
Reliability: Excessive tardiness or unexcused absences negatively impact the team and our clients and may result in disciplinary action.
2. CLIENT CONSULTATION & SAFETY
The 5-Minute Consult: Every service must begin with a thorough consultation. Stylists must verify the client’s hair history and desired outcome before starting.
Safety First: Stylists are required to perform patch tests for new color clients or when using high-sensitivity chemicals.
Mandatory Waivers: It is the stylist’s responsibility to ensure that the Service Waiver is signed by the client before any chemical or high-risk treatment begins.
3. TECHNICAL EXCELLENCE & CONTINUED LEARNING
Quality Control: Every service must be performed to the best of the stylist’s ability, following the salon’s established techniques and product usage guidelines.
Education: Stylists are encouraged to stay current with Kendall and global hair trends. Participation in mandatory salon training sessions is required.
4. SALON HYGIENE & STATION MAINTENANCE
Sanitation: In compliance with Florida State Board of Cosmetology regulations, all tools (combs, shears, guards) must be sanitized after every use.
Station Pride: Stylists must keep their individual stations clean, organized, and swept between every client. Common areas (shampoo bowls, breakroom) must be kept tidy by the entire team.
5. SOCIAL MEDIA & CONTENT CREATION
Client Privacy: Always ask for verbal consent before taking photos or videos of a client. Respect the client’s “Opt-Out” preference immediately.
Branding: When posting salon work to personal professional accounts, stylists should tag Hair Cuts At The Palms and use the official location as the geotag.
Professionalism Online: Avoid posting content that is disparaging to the salon, fellow stylists, or clients.
6. COMMUNICATION & DISPUTE RESOLUTION
Teamwork: We maintain a “gossip-free” environment. Any internal conflicts should be brought directly to management privately.
Client Complaints: If a client expresses dissatisfaction during a service, remain calm and professional. If the issue cannot be resolved at the chair, involve the Salon Manager immediately.
7. ETHICAL CONDUCT & SOLICITATION
Salon Property: Stylists are responsible for the proper care of salon equipment and professional backbar products. Theft or intentional misuse of salon property is grounds for immediate termination.
Non-Solicitation: Clients are the property of Hair Cuts At The Palms. Stylists agree not to solicit salon clients for services outside of the salon premises.
